This express tour takes you across the magnificent High Atlas Mountains, through the ancient Kasbahs of Ouarzazate, and deep into the Draa Valley—the longest river valley in Morocco lined with thousands of palm trees.
Your destination is Zagora, where you will trade the minibus for camels and trek into the sunset to a traditional Berber desert camp. Spend the night sleeping under the stars (or in a tent) and enjoying a night of drums and local music.
Itinerary
Marrakech - Ait Benhaddou - Zagora
Depart at 07:30 AM. Drive through the Tizi n'Tichka pass. Visit the UNESCO site of Ait Benhaddou for lunch. Continue via Ouarzazate, Agdz, and the stunning Draa Valley. Arrive in Zagora for a sunset camel ride to the camp. Dinner and overnight stay.
Zagora - Ouarzazate - Marrakech
Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the small dunes. Breakfast at the camp. Ride camels back to Zagora. Begin the return journey to Marrakech, with stops for lunch and coffee. Arrival in Marrakech around 06:00 PM.
